Porcelain Crowns

A crown (sometimes referred to as a cap) is a permanent covering that fits over an existing tooth. A crown may be needed when a tooth is cracked, damaged, decayed, or when treated with a root canal. These crowns may be made of porcelain, gold, or a combination of these materials. Crowns may also be used for cosmetic purposes- to whiten, reshape, or realign the existing teeth.
